The biggest addition Automatron brings is the introduction of robot building and modifying via the robot workbench which is introduced early on and Its definitely my favourite part of Automatron. There were a few times it was cringy but I found the majority of Automatron 's writing to be interesting, engaging, witty and overall, it was quite enjoyable for me. The writing however, was an aspect I really liked. I found the dlcs pacing to be great for the most part but there were times a quest or some combat encounters either lasted longer than it needed too making that part of Automatron a bit of drag, or was Unfortunately, my biggest problem was with how underdeveloped and forgettable I found the rest of them to be which is a shame since If they were developed further, I feel there could have been a compelling cast of characters here. There is also characters like the Mechanist who was not only compelling but pretty engaging aswell. My favourite being ADA who I think talks a bit too much, but I found her to be really interesting. This dlc does introduce plenty of new characters. And for me, this aspect ends up being just okay but it could have been much better. It does have its charm though as I found the dlc to be pretty silly at times but while I'm generally fine with simplicity, I do wish Automatron's story had more to it especially since I think it would have helped make the experience more memorable. There is bit more to it especially in the 2nd half(I found that bit more to be pretty interesting too) but the story overall, is really simple and rather cliche. The story of Automatron is about stopping the Mechanist, who unleashed robots that are murdering everyone in sight. Starting with Automatron which I got to say, I enjoyed but this dlc is definitely not without its flaws. However, I am willing to give the dlcs a shot and see if I like them or not. In fact, it's my least favourite fallout entree in the series. Let's get one thing out of the way, I personally did not like the base game of fallout 4 especially in terms of story and characters.
